My name is Conrad a.k.a. FullNelson to the twitch/twitter community, I am here today to explain my story with gp over these past years of knowing the girls.
Back in the mid to late 2013 I was really into watching Super Mario playthroughs and watch people speed run the classic NES and SNES versions of the game, after I was done watching I looked at the recommendation list of videos and came across LET THE RAGE BEGIN! - Girls Play - Unfair Mario (part 1).
It looked interesting to me because I've never heard of Unfair Mario before and wanted to check it out, there was a group of girls playing to what seemed like a VERY cheesy version of Mario for the NES, as I was watching I couldn't help to start laughing as the girls began to rage because they couldn't beat this game.
At the time of that video you girls only had about 1,500 subscribers, I thought that was strange cause you girls were so funny and I subscribed after watching that video, I looked at your channel afterwards and realized you girls had basically just started making YouTube videos, so I watched your older videos and loved the Slenderman videos because I was also really into that game.
Going forward you girls started playing one of the most iconic and most memorable games I couldn't stop watching, the Outlast series began and I couldn't stop watching it, after each episode I couldn't wait for the next episode. It was around that time I really started to really become a big fan and fell in love with you all.
Around this time I started to like watching Renae,Kenzie and Drea, I liked how they were during videos, their attitude really started to stick out to me especially during scary games like dungeon nightmares and Outlast.
As time went on there were more and more videos that I fell in love with, and then an AFK video was uploaded called SHAKE IT OFF! it was the most awesome and fun video I have watched up to this point where I can really see you all loved doing what you do, even to this day that still holds a special place in my heart, it reminds me of the good old days.
Jumping ahead even more a few more girls got introduced to the channel, I really started to like Molly and sydney, basically every single girl in the channel, then a bomb dropped on the channel in early 2015. You girls announced that you were going to be live streaming on twitch, I was very excited to actually watch you girls live for the first time but I was also very new to twitch I didn't really know what twitch was lol.
Sydney and Kenzie were the first girls to stream and I could tell you both were nervous but I was also nervous because I didn't know what would happen if I said anything in chat, it was when I said hi Kenzie said hi back and it was so awesome to hear in real time. The streams were VERY spread out at the start, streaming like once or twice a month, there were also some surprise streams which made me very happy to watch.
Going to halloween of that year, Maddie was introduce to the channel as she had done all the make up for all the girls cosplays (which Maddie has done an AMAZING job) then shortly after she was introduced as a full time member of the channel, which made me very excited to see a new person on the channel, also shortly after that Stephanie was introduced to the channel, she also had an awesome personality that anyone could easily fall in love with.
During around the same time GP had took a hit and ending up losing Renae as a member of GP, it was a hard video to watch because I was a huge fan of Renae so it was hard to see her go. The girls were really supportive of Renae leaving to go to school to become a nurse and I was happy for her.
Later on that year Drea streamed Killing Floor 2, and she wanted to play with other people so I bought and installed the game and asked if I could join her, Drea happily agreed so we ended up with a group of people who all became really close friends, we would play the game almost daily on and off stream, we made a group and called ourselves "Denied anal" at first it was a joke because as we were playing Drea would say things like "GET OFF MY ASS, I'M NOT GIVING UP THE BOOTY!" to the zombies and boss, then one of the guys in the group said "hey let's make that our clan name" we all agreed on Denied Anal.
Then as the year went on the group slowly started falling out and we became less active on the game, so we tried to look for other games that we could play that was a lot of fun, that's when the game Overwatch came out. It was still in beta but we all had it and fell in love with Overwatch, at that time there was a lot of people in the GP community that loved playing games with the girls, we all became hooked for the longest time and would play till 5-6 in the morning pretty much everytime even after the stream has ended.
Kenz started to play later because at first Overwatch didn't appeal to Kenz that much but later on she started playing more and more and really starting to like it, I remember gaming with Drea and Kenz all the time and we would chat and talk about anything we all really started bonding, Overwatch became the game to play for us for a long time.
Then early 2016 I got a direct message from StevenChung asking me he has something important he needs to discuss with me, Steven said he was working on a special react video for the girls of GP, it was gonna be for their 3 year anniversary and wanted us to tell GP what they mean to us, I was honored to be asked to be a part of the video so when I got home from work I started working on my clip. Watching the girls react and me as well watching the anniversary video I really got to see how all the others that I talked to have felt towards GP and how much GP has meant to them.
Then mid 2016 I got a whisper from GP asking if I wanted to join the mod squad, I couldn't believe it, I was so happy and honoured that I was even considered to be a mod for the channel, even to this day it still feels surreal to be a part of this community and everyone in it, around this time Renae has come back to the channel and everyone was excited to see her back streaming and making YouTube videos again.
everything was going pretty smooth and well for the remainder of the year, it was the following year is where things started to take some huge turn of events.
Stephanie ended up leaving GP and she said she was going to do her own thing because that's what she wanted to do in the first place from what I gathered, it was sad to see her go, it also really hurt Drea and Kenz because they were goodfriends and Kenzies roommate. It was when Stephanie streamed at the same time as Drea is what really flipped Dreas switched she was so upset, began calling her out for breaking the contract etc.
In 2017 everyone, the girls and the community noticed how close Drea and another twitch streamer were becoming, Entoan, they would stream at the same time, play games together mainly by themselves, I noticed Dreas attitude started changing around mid 2017, she no longer really wanted to game with the community much and only wanted to stream with Entoan. I never had any hard feelings towards that, it was what she wanted to do. However out of nowhere we found out that Drea was leaving GP and moving to Arizona to be with Entoan, we were all shocked to hear the news but I was happy that Drea has found someone she loved and they really cared for each other.
It was how she left which made a lot of people upset, myself included, at this point I became very close to Syd and the rest of the girls. It hurt us all when we found out that began to start streaming not even 2 weeks after she moved to Arizona, because she agreed that she wouldn't stream against GP but she did, even though she was so upset about what Steph did when she left GP, Drea ended up doing the exact same thing Steph did. I still tried to be there for Drea because I thought we were still good friends at the time, I would go to her streams and show her support and became a mod for Dreas channel as well.
It was late 2017 where things started to get out of control, she made claims about GP that I have never heard before, it shocked me to hear Drea make claims that GP was manipulative and monsters, the time she was making these claims Renae ended up leaving GP as well and started making the same claims, so i asked the girls that are still in GP what was going on and they had no idea why these girls were making these claims out of no where, they were saying that they were told what to say,what to wear etc. it was unreal to hear the attitude they had towards GP.
